I don't even care anymore. money means nothing. I'm always poor. I make great money. I should be doing well. I'm also a mom. I shouldn't be fighting for my life.

People don’t explore bankruptcy enough. It’s often the best option. Especially if you already have a car and own a home.

I’ve been told it’s financially dumb to cash out some of my retirement to pay off my student loans (22k) but I just can’t help but feel like having the burden of owing that money off of my shoulders might be worth it. I actually haven’t had to make payments in years… but I know my payments are going to be astronomical.

I’ve let my debt go, if it comes back; that’s how I’ll know it was truly meant for me 🥹✌️

I got super depressed and ignored a lot of debt, which made the debt worse and also made me more depressed. I started actually working through paying balances down and improving my credit score and I get a little hit of happiness everytime I pay something down.

It’s not only the debt issue because I’m finally at a point where I don’t have that but now I feel like it was pointless paying it off because I’m still trapped in a scenario where I can’t buy a house or do anything. It didn’t really improve my life in any sort of way. Yes I can save some more money but for what? In the event of a job loss yes I will be taken care of better, but it would only take a year of unemployment to wipe out everything I worked so hard for. It just feels pointless all the time.

My parents were silent gen. On both of their death beds the greatest regret that they talked about was living and dying in debt. Not all the stuff that they tell you people regret at the end of their life. No, it was the debt.

I didn’t get to go to college. I work retail and make so little that I feel like I’m essentially just a slave. I can’t take vacations, can’t afford to fix my car or to get a new one, usually end up going hungry the last couple days before payday…like I literally work for nothing.
