@thetypicaldadplays: This year has brought heartbreaking losses to the Ghibli family. Behind the beloved characters that touched our hearts were talented performers whose voices helped bring these magical worlds to life. 🌸 Catherine O’Hara — Old Marnie in When Marnie Was There (January 30) 🏰 James Van Der Beek — Pazu in Castle in the Sky (February 11) 🌊 Daveigh Chase — Chihiro in Spirited Away (June 16) 🐺 Akihiro Miwa — Moro in Princess Mononoke and the Witch of the Waste in Howl’s Moving Castle (June 20) 🎙️ Joaquim Casado — Motro in Castle In The Sky (June 22) 🐷 Carlos del Campo — Marco Pagot in Porco Rosso (August 2) 🐈 Tim Curry — The Cat King in The Cat Returns (August 25) 🌿 Eric Bauza — Marnie’s father in When Marnie Was There (October 25) Each of them contributed something special to the world of animation, helping characters become unforgettable companions in our lives. From Chihiro’s courage and Pazu’s adventurous spirit to Moro’s fierce presence and the Cat King’s mischievous charm, their performances will continue to be remembered by fans across generations. Their voices may have fallen silent, but the stories they helped tell will live on. Thank you for being part of the magic that made Studio Ghibli so meaningful to so many of us. Rest in peace, and thank you for the memories. 🕊️💚 #RIP #voiceactor #ghibli
