My favorite tip that I learned in 2020 was that a jar full of water takes up the same space as an empty jar. So every time I do a batch of canning, I fill the empty space in the canner with jars full of water.

Tea light candle, place on a brick, place 3 bricks tall side up around, cover with a clay flower pot. This will provide radiant heat. Had my brother build one when the big ice storm hit Texas.

Battery powered carbon monoxide alarm. In the winter your windows are shut and if you’re trying to use fire to make heat and don’t have a chimney or something you could be in a dangerous situation
