@kiraburen: hot honey mustard tofu tenders 🍯🔥 rough recipe 🍯 ingredients: 🔸 tofu: 1 block extra-firm tofu (about 450 g) big pinch of salt, for the boiling water 🥣 dry dredge: ½ cup all-purpose flour ¼ cup cornstarch 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp smoked paprika ½ tsp onion powder ½ tsp salt ½ tsp black pepper 🥛 wet dredge: ½ cup milk (any kind) 2 tbsp pc hot honey mustard 2 tbsp cornstarch 🍞 panko coat: 1½ cups panko pinch of salt oil spray 🍯 hot honey mustard glaze: ⅓-½ cup pc hot honey mustard 1 tbsp butter, melted 🌶️ instructions: 1. bring a pot of salted water to a boil, cut or tear the tofu into chunky tender-sized strips (about 8 from a block), boil 5 min, then drain, pat really dry and let it steam-dry for a few min 2. set up three bowls: the dry dredge mixed together, the wet dredge whisked smooth, and the panko with a pinch of salt 3. dredge each piece in the flour mix, dip it in the wet mix and let the excess drip off, then press it firmly into the panko so it's fully covered 4. preheat the air fryer to 390°F, spray the basket, add the tenders in a single layer with space between them and spray the tops really well so there are no dry panko patches 5. air fry 15-20 min, flipping and spraying again halfway, until deep golden and crunchy (work in batches if you need to) 6. while they cook, mix the hot honey mustard with the melted butter, and warm it 15-20 sec in the microwave if you want it extra glossy 7. throw the hot tenders in a big bowl, pour the glaze over and toss until they're sticky and coated, then eat right away #tofutenders #vegetarianrecipes #tofurecipes #fastfoodathome #kiwikira tofu tenders | honey mustard tofu | air fryer tofu | crispy tofu recipe | high protein vegetarian dinner
