I was SA’d by a family member at a age younger than 10 (can’t exactly remember memory is fried), I told my mom right free it happened in as much detail a child could give. She looked down at me right in my eyes and asked me “why would you lie about something like that?” She sat me across from him later that day and asked him what he did, of course he lied. I got beat for telling her. I was called a liar for telling her. I’m still learning to trust my mind at almost 23.

My mom finished college with her teaching degree. she was the first in our family to do so. I remember her walking across the stage. She would stay up late doing her homework after she made is dinner, helped us with homework and got us bathed and in the bed. Many years later, she obtained her masters degree and I remember watching her walk the stage. She's amazing! She did all that to give us a better life and I'm so proud of her. 🥰

One time my mom cooked for 2 days straight to feed the homeless plates…one guy was so scared he wouldn’t even accept a plate from us. My mom parked the car and talked to him for a min and he broke down crying. I was a kid who stayed in the car watching so idk what she said to him but i wont forget his face of relief/sadness..
