Tell your friends dad I want whatever he’s smoking. 😂 $70K for a 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser pickup is outrageous. Yes, it’s a rare FZJ75 with the 4.5L 24-valve inline-six, and I understand that these trucks weren’t sold in the U.S. market in the same configuration. But rarity alone doesn’t justify whatever price you decide to put on it. We have to separate asking prices from actual sale prices. Comparable 1993 FZJ75s have sold for around $19,800 and $32,500, with an exceptional refurbished example reaching $45,250. Those numbers are a lot more relevant than claiming comparable trucks have sold for $110K. One exceptional sale doesn’t automatically make every truck worth that much. CarPlay, new speakers, refreshed paint, and maintenance are nice, but they don’t magically add tens of thousands of dollars to a vehicle’s value. Personally, I’d put $30K at the absolute ceiling for a collector buying this particular truck, assuming it’s in excellent condition. As a trade-in, I’d expect a dealership to offer around $20K at most, depending on its inspection and resale prospects. At $70K, you’re asking someone to pay a massive premium over comparable sales. You’re free to ask whatever you want, but that doesn’t mean the market agrees with your valuation. A rare truck isn’t automatically a $70K truck. 😂 And how is a much newer, more capable off-roader like the Ford Raptor worth the same as this thing? LOL.
