While you're "away" are you missing out on spending time with any children? If you and wife were to both work full time "locally" would it provide the dual income, and ability then for you to spend more of your free time with your children, and provide her the opportunity to have the occasionally needed time away from home and children to maintain her self identity and independence? One has to recognize that both parties sacrifice in terms of income, availability, spending time with wife, kids, family, friends when one is working, while the other often gives up a career and time away from house to decompress and maintain their identity outside of homemaker. 😊
