@hannahandregal: Seven years ago today, I went on my first date with my husband… and I almost canceled because I was so nervous 😂🤍 A few days after we met he asked me to get coffee, and I honestly wasn’t even sure if it was a date. I prayed the whole drive there, asking God to protect my heart if this man wasn’t the right person for me. But as soon as our date began, I felt so at ease. We talked so easily, and when he prayed over our food, my heart just melted. It was my first time hearing him pray, and I’d prayed for a man who loved God so boldly for so long 🥹 We drank dirty chai latte’s with oat milk, played Farkle, laughed and talked until the place closed. Our coffee date ended up being SEVEN hours long 😂 After we said goodbye, I was quietly hoping he’d pass a little “test” I secretly had in my mind. I already liked him so much, and I was praying he would… and he did. 🤍 After our date, I got into my car and literally said out loud, “I think I love this man.” These photos are from a couple years later, before we had kids right when we got our dog, Bro. We went back to play Farkle and take photos in the exact spot where we’d sat on our first date so we could always remember this special spot. Every year, we’ve gone back on October 27th to Dovetail for the same dirty chai lattes and have watched our family grow at this little table. We’re sad to miss it this year since moving to Florida, but we’ll be back when we visit Minnesota next!
