looks like the alcohol in the fragrance stripped away the varnish on the wood? maybe a new coat of varnish would fix it

Finn there’s only 2 solutions , 1 you have to sand the whole floor and varnish the whole floor should take about 2 weeks , or 2 send me a bottle of sapphire and forget about it

I'd take the rest of the fragrances off that shelf, you're gambling with them

smell can be fixed, the mark cannot unless u apply a new coat, in which case, u pretty much have to coat the entire floor over, not just the mark

You can try doing this on it, but you’ll need to probably do the entire floor when doing it. It saved a hardwood floor of mine before.

Just oil it up. It probably dried up because of the alcohol in the fragrance.

Depends on the original sealant. Water-based or single-pack can be patch-fixed, but two-pack polyurethane or oil-based will always show. A flooring subbie will push to redo the whole floor, so a handy jack-of-all-trades is your best bet for a patch.

Alcohol ate away some of the varnish/clear coat. If you can get the same lustre of what’s there which looks like semi gloss to me you should be able to blend it in with the rest of the floor. Trick is getting the right lustre.
