That is a very long time. Wash day shouldn’t be as long as a work shift. Are there any opportunities to cut down on time? Maybe during shampoo and conditioning? Mine usually takes about 3-4 hours with breaks.

8.5 hrs is but I see how it can get to that. Im also type 4 with very dense and coarse hair but my hair is much shorter. My wash days are like 3-4 hrs but I also don’t prepoo, wash in sections, or detangle at all before styling (coarse hair is so easy to detangle I love it)

You are very on par with other women with similar density and length 🙌🏾🙌🏾 8,5hours seems very normal for a total reset. I think women fail to realise what actually happens care wise with hair that touches your booty crack 🙂↕️🙂↕️. Long hair is a real commitment and financial investment.
