The real solution is to be able to challenge penalties

Has nothing to do with the individual ref. Has everything to do with the system that the refs are using?

AlekSanderSteven :
The issue is the NFL doesn’t want to give up its ability to influence games. Whether that be to make them more “entertaining”, or to push larger markets into post season, etc. The NFL doesn’t seem to care about the fans, only the short term viewership metrics.

the most simple way to fix, is to abolish the stupid rule that you can’t overturn flags, we have the technology in 2026 to track where a ball goes in a home run and a strike zone, we should be able to review plays and challenge flags especially in crunch time

The sports betting rigged allegations would be 10 times worse. “We were told to pickup the flag.”

Let each coach challenge 1- 2 calls per game (calls made or not made). If they dont change the result you lose your challenge. if they do change it, you keep your challenge similar to baseball

NFL refs are the only part-time refs in the North American major sports league. It would change a lot if they were full time.
