I really like the way you actually explained Ichibei’s true identity and intentions instead of just saying ‘Yeah he’s evil because he wanted to imprison Ichigo’. Some may see him as a being of pure evil, but to be very honest, someone as old as him wouldn’t care about anyone around him. I have a feeling that Ichibei’s greatest desire is to maintain balance over the three worlds, and as you said he will do ANYTHING to keep the balance. I think this is the best thing I’ve read in a whole while.

i'm curious about hell; i do think that Adneyus saw something (perhaps a cosmic catastrophe, eldritch monster or an army) being locked into Hell, who would have soon been unleashed if he didn't use his full power to sacrifice himself and split the world into three. My theory is that the extremely powerful beings that get reincarnated in hell serve to keep the creatures in it at bay while Hell overall is locked by the balance, and since Ichibe is the butler of this balance, he keeps everything in check so Hell doesn't destroy everything else. As to why hell is dangerous, i do believe it has to be something involving the five familes: Kubo did say the unnamed one was tied to the Hell arc, so perhaps that family is either worshipping the God/Goddess of Hell or the head of said family tried using the ghouls of Hell to overthrow the Soul King.

interesting is that the soul king forsaw everything but still chose to let himself be mutilated. maybe in hell is something or someone imprisoned, wich even the soulking fears and the three realms are the cage. we saw in the "no breaths from hell" chapter, that the imbalance of souls allows hell to open. the balance of souls stabilize the three realms and thus the cage. now it's breaking and neither ichibe nor the soulking can do anything against it.

this is a very good analysis of ichibes role and character overall. very well explained and it does shown the true sinister nature of him (however I still don't see how he's the most powerful in the verse like you said previously, Soul King, Yhwach, Ichigo and Aizen should all still be much stronger)
