@taylortravelsct: Come hungry, because we found another local food stop in Seymour, CT worth checking out! We stopped at Tu Marqueta and picked up a little bit of everything. We got pernil with rice and beans,beef and cheese empanadas & their chicharróns, which were super crunchy and packed with flavor. We also grabbed rice pudding for something sweet! The sweet plantains we ordered deserve their own moment because they weren’t even on the menu that day!! She offered to make them fresh for us because she wanted us to try them which was super freaking nice!! Tu Marqueta is a local deli and market in Seymour where you can stop in for prepared food, freshly made sandwiches, or ingredients to make your own at home! And I love that they’re so honest, I went to get some hot food and I’m short can’t really see it all. When I asked for something the guy came over and said it looks dry, I’m not selling it to you. Won me over and that was my first but not last time there.
