I genuinely don't understand the point of silent appointments. I'm a nail tech and if I can see that the person doesn't wanna talk guess what I won't talk idk why we need "silent appointments" just observe your clients body language

As someone who's an introvert with social anxiety, a silent appointment would be a dream. Consultation obviously need to communicate, but the rest would be so great. I don't even mind them speaking with others.

My grandma was fine after my grandads death. He was sick for years before hand. So she had mourned and prepared and thought about it for years and she was just relieved to see him at peace. Then the next year, the first of the month she could barely walk, kept vomiting, had no energy, just wanted to sleep. She thought she was going to die. Then she realised what month it was. She called her daughter and said “come get me out of this house every day this month even if we just drive silently otherwise I’m not making it” she cried so often then. And did all her mourning that month. She hadn’t expected it but she recognised that she wasn’t sick she was grieving finally and it wasn’t going well. She lived another 15 years

As someone whose mom passed away over a year ago, I wish silent appointments were more accessible in my area. I didn’t want to do anything for the first year, and kind of still don’t most of the time.
