@smarteruk: Could a tax credit get young people into work? I'm Steve Endacott, a UK businessman and politician. Let's be clear: people with disabilities deserve proper support, and PIP helps with the extra costs of disability. But I worry about the young people I see disconnecting from work before their adult lives have even begun. Governments don't create jobs. Businesses do. So let's introduce a 15% National Insurance credit: for every pound a business pays a young person, it gets 15% back. Compared with paying employer NI today, that's a 30% swing towards hiring them. That would create jobs and stop wasted lives.
