We need to seriously revisit whether expired tags is probable cause for pulling someone over. Instead, take a photo of the vehicle’s plates and mail a citation to the registered owner. There are countless instances where pulling over someone for minor infractions can be extremely dangerous to both vehicle occupants and police.
