I think about this a lot actually. like I grew up closer to my brothers because our ages were closer. I was a tom boy and wore boys clothes until like 9th grade and then was super girly. And I feel like it’s super normal and did not mean anything…. Today’s world is strange.

I’m so glad my parents let me be a tomboy and didn’t try to make me more girly. It truly has made me a much happier person that I’m different than everyone else.

in 4th grade i always played this game with all the boys at recess and anytime a girl would ask to join they’d say “sorry no girls allowed” and the girls were like “…what about ally?” and they go “she doesn’t count” 🤣

My sister and I have talked about this a lot. We feel like there wasn’t so much pressure on kids to label themselves back in the day. But now if a kid is a “tom boy” then automatically they are something else. Just let them be kids and enjoy themselves

I remember just not liking boys. I didn’t have crushes. I was an OG man hater. I wasn’t super girly. People thought it was so strange. Still a man hater, and married a MALE man hater too! It’s just how I am. 😂

One time i remember telling my mom I wanted to be a boy she asked why and I said I wanted to climb trees. She bought be a skort and told me to climb trees and that girls can still do that too. Never asked again
