@mailisa109: Lake Powell is Rising Faster Than ANYONE Predicted. Lake Powell has risen nearly SIX FEET in just ONE WEEK after massive flash flooding swept across the Southwest! Over 100 BILLION gallons of water were added to the reservoir in just seven days. But how much has Lake Powell actually changed? We return to Lone Rock Beach, the Stateline Boat Ramp, and the Glen Canyon Dam to compare Lake Powell's shoreline before and after the October 2026 floods. Heavy rainfall across Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico sent massive amounts of floodwater into the Colorado River system. The San Juan River experienced major flooding, sending muddy water downstream toward Lake Powell. Between October 17 and October 24, Lake Powell rose nearly six feet, gaining approximately 330,000 acre feet of water. The reservoir has now climbed above its former historic low recorded in 2023. But despite the sudden rise, Lake Powell remains far below full capacity. We'll look at the latest Lake Powell water levels, changing shorelines, the Stateline boat ramp, San Juan River flooding, and what these storms mean for the ongoing Colorado River drought. Has this historic October rainfall made a lasting difference, or is Lake Powell still facing a serious water shortage? Part 3 #LakePowell #ColoradoRiver #FlashFlooding #lakemead #LakeMeadUpdate
