The problem isn't always that victims are afraid to speak. It's what happens when they DO. When they report what happened, name names, ask for help, and the very institutions responsible for protecting them fail to act. How many accusations have been dismissed, ignored, or buried because the person being accused had enough money, influence, or powerful friends? Justice should never depend on how wealthy the accused is or how powerless the person reporting them may be. Because you don't have to silence someone's voice when you can make sure nobody with the power to do something about it ever listens.
