We can take the universal principles from these verses and understand that beauty is NOT a sin but it’s important to be mindful of your attitude and intention behind these displays of beauty, that’s my interpretation. I believe modesty in Islam is also a mindset. However, it is clear that these specific verses regarding Tabarruj is directed to the Prophet’s wives and family ONLY.
