If they wanted Santa Clara to grow, it can, if they kept Great America open. And make it bigger. Bigger than Disneyworld. And since its near San Jose, build a tech rich super amusement park, use Loony toons as thier official mascots. If you Gen X, you know... those were the best of times at that amusement park. Now, its going to be torn down next year and all the memories of its existence, will be gone... Want to build a downtown? Sure, make Vegas style buildings all lined up, both sides Put a big water fountain in the middle or a big pool, the length of half a mile, with the water fountain changing colors as they put on a water show at night. That's crazy. Is it, its big, its bold, a copy cat of the Vegas strip but people will notice and will want to visit.

Why not offer to remodel those mom pop locations? If they’ve been there so long keep them there but off to give them a better restaurant and bring them more business maybe in exchange a small percentage of their profits since they got a new restaurant? Or charge them more rent if they get higher business?
