@taniakhazaal: blamed my mother for everything I couldn't fix in myself. My past was the reason I was stuck, and it felt true every single time I said it. Every time I told the story, I felt better for about a day. Then nothing changed. Blaming her didn't move me forward. It kept me right where I was. Understanding what happened to you is not the same as living in it for the rest of your life. The past explains a lot. It was never meant to be where you stay. And now I think about the parent on the other end of that blame. Has your child ever blamed you for being stuck? What's the hardest thing they've blamed you for? P.S I am never speaking about cases of real abuse, harm or maliciousness. I mean some parents weren’t parents they were abusive…manipulating and caused severe harm. Wasn’t my fault for their choices but totally my responsibility to heal that. Had my parents healed my life would have been different.
