@southernflydaddy: Smith Point Jetties – Reedville, Virginia It’s incredible how much this area has changed. For years, you could look between these jetties and see open water. Now, sand has built up so much that the passage is nearly closed off. From the air, you can really see just how dramatic the change has been. Beyond the changing landscape, this is something boaters need to be aware of. Anyone familiar with Smith Point knows how quickly conditions can change around this part of the Bay.
