@bostonsports_news: 🚨 PATRIOTS TRADE RUMOR 🚨 The New England Patriots have been linked to Colts WR Josh Downs ahead of the NFL trade deadline! 👀 Downs previously played with Drake Maye at North Carolina, which could make this an interesting potential reunion in New England. A reliable slot receiver could give Maye another weapon in the passing game. 🏈 Would you want the Patriots to trade for Josh Downs? #ForeverNE #Patriots #NFL #DrakeMaye #JoshDowns

Jay Martin :

They are just like the Red Sox, interested in everyone but get no one. They had a golden opportunity to fix their o-line and didn’t. Just like last year when they needed to pickup a defensive end and they didn’t, and that hurt them in the Super Bowl. 21 injured players half of them of offensive line and you pass on a future Hall of Famer guard! JOKE!

Downs is speedy when healthy but the larger issue is pass protection which even a speedy WR doesn't fix...
