My last dumbbell shoulder reel got over 10,000 SAVES…so here’s the seated edition! 👏🏼 And before you look at the weights on screen: I did NOT start here. I worked my way up to them. These are 5 seated dumbbell shoulder exercises I regularly include in my upper-body workouts at home: Around-the-world to underhand raise, Shoulder press, Lateral raise to close, Reverse-grip shoulder press, Front raises A few things I want you to know before trying them: 1️⃣ Pick your weight for EACH movement. What you can shoulder press may be much heavier than what you can front raise. Going lighter for certain exercises doesn’t mean you’re getting weaker! 2️⃣ Choose your weight based on control. Those last few reps should feel challenging without needing to swing, lean back, or rush. For the combination moves, choose a weight you can control through BOTH parts. 3️⃣ Seated doesn’t mean your core gets the day off. Keep your feet planted and your ribcage over your hips. Avoid arching your lower back to push the dumbbells up. 4️⃣ Track what you lift. When you can complete all your reps with good form and still feel like you could do several more, try the smallest weight increase available. That’s how you build strength over time. You don’t need to match my weights to make progress. Moves like these are regularly programmed inside my dumbbell-only weekly workout plan, Movement With Julie. SAVE this for your next shoulder workout and FOLLOW for more dumbbell workouts at home 💪🏼 #shoulders #arms #homeworkout #workoutroutine
