@cbsla: Residents and businesses along Newport Beach’s Balboa Peninsula are dealing with a second day of flooding after seawater flowed into homes and streets ahead of another king tide. City crews have been pumping out water and rebuilding sand berms, while residents use sandbags to try to keep the ocean from flooding their properties. Longtime homeowners say the flooding is unlike anything they have experienced since buying their homes in 1999 and are considering whether they need more permanent flood barriers as sea levels rise.
