I use this to season everything from pernil, turkey, chicken, steak, rice, beans, and so much more. Make a batch, freeze it, and thank me later! 😂 ✨ HOMEMADE SOFRITO RECIPE ✨ 🧅 1 white onion + 1 Spanish onion 🫑 1 green bell pepper + 1 red bell pepper 🌿 1 bunch of cilantro 🌱 1 bunch of culantro 💚 1 lb ajicitos (ají dulce peppers) 🧄 1 lb peeled garlic 🧂 Salt & oil (optional) Directions: 1. Wash and chop your onions, bell peppers, cilantro, and culantro. 2. Remove the stems from your ají dulce peppers. I don’t deseed mine! 3. Add everything to your food processor in batches. It won’t all fit at once! 4. As you blend, transfer each batch into a large bowl. 5. Once everything is blended, mix it all together so the flavors are evenly combined. 6. I like to portion mine into ice cube trays, freeze them, and transfer the cubes into Ziploc bags. It makes cooking SO much easier! That’s it! Homemade sofrito ready whenever you need it!
