LET’S NOT LOSE THE MESSAGE IN THE NOISE. Having watched the footage of the Speaker remarks, I believe it is important that we look beyond the headlines and pay attention to the lessons she was actually sharing with us Beyond her comments about avoiding fake designer brands and learning to invest in quality, timeless pieces within our means, she also spoke about something equally important: how we carry ourselves as women. She reminded us of the importance of smiling, being mindful of our posture, and seeking a second opinion on our appearance before stepping out. Sometimes, having someone we trust look at our outfit and offer an honest opinion can help us notice things we might have overlooked. After all, first impressions matter, and presentation goes beyond the clothes we wear. It includes our confidence, composure, facial expressions, and the way we engage with others. I believe the essence of her message was about intentionality. It is not always about how expensive our clothes, bags, or shoes are, but about how thoughtfully we present ourselves. We can look elegant, polished, and confident without wearing designer labels we cannot yet afford. Unfortunately, the conversation seems to have shifted away from these valuable lessons to a narrative that may not fully reflect the substance of her remarks. We can disagree with how a message is delivered without dismissing the wisdom it may contain. Rather than allowing negative publicity to dominate the conversation, let us share what we learnt, highlight the positive takeaways, and give the gathering the kind of publicity that reflects its purpose. There is so much more to take away from that conversation than what is currently making the rounds. Let us be intentional about the message we amplify. Sometimes, the most valuable lesson is not what we wear, but how we carry ourselves @Serwaa Amihere ESQ @Obuobia Darko-Opoku @igniteyei #CompleteIgniteWoman #GroomingGoals #WomenEmpowerment #igniteyouthempowermentinitiative
