Yesterday I tattooed Cassandra. We’re both trach/ hospital moms 🩷 I knew of Cassandra towards the end of Laila’s hospital stay because of her sweet baby Asher. Asher is 8 now and Laila would be 7.. 🥹😳 Yesterday I got to finally meet her in person after all these years. We both connected online due to our families( Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children family of nurses, drs, rts) taking care of our trach babies. Our babies diagnoses were completely different but we shared the same common thing.. HAVING OUR BABIES ON TRACHS/ VENTILATOR! It’s not easy being a medical mommy by any means. It’s full time job ON TOP of being a full time mom 😩 Nobody prepares you what you deal with or go through BUT if you have the Lord to cling onto He’ll get you through. 🙏 Yesterday was for the moms 💖 to remind yourself it’s ok to step away for yourself & NOT feel guilty. There was a lot of tears shed not only healing for Cassandra but myself too! I got to talk about things about Laila that only the Lord knows ! This tattoo reminds you there is sunshine on the other side of the door no matter what it looks like.
