@ezret.tv: The Avatar franchise is so rich in history, but what’s holding it back is how the timelines of the animated series are being handled. With Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, and now Avatar: 7 Havens, I wonder I’m hoping the franchise will focus in filling in the gaps of the timeline we currently have. #avatarthelastairbender #legendofkorra #avatarsevenhavens #atla #tlok
Every show doesn’t need to have every question answered, I’d rather see a new avatar and their story rather than milking a show that ended on their own terms

I think instead of moving forward they should work backwards from Aang. I think the modernization of the avatar world makes it too similar to any other supernatural type series.

Total agree, for instance korra is the worst avatar and so difficult to watch however her setting and side characters make up for her character. I would have loved side stories in this era leaving her out. For example tophs children would have been a great series

And now they’re saying the next show will be about Kuruk…and it’s like sure but to your point it’s giving whiplash. Each avatar is in a completely different era, different politics etc. especially in seven havens where the entire world is completely different . so it just feels like we’re moving all over the place and not really grounded or anchored in anything anymore.

Totally agree I wish we can just finish Aangs story then move on. But I have an even bigger issue with the creators constantly changing their own lore. Its crazy you have people in your comments complaining over animation when you didnt say anything. Really the biggest problem is the writing has been going downhill from ATLA onwards. At least the novels are pretty good

so you’re argument is that because previous storylines isn’t in visual form for people even though they can freely just google or read the books to find out the lore) it’s suddenly the newer shows fault that the fans aren’t able to move on from nostalgia? I knew I was gonna get pissed off from this🤣🤣

the animation in storytelling is perfection honestly the complaints that you have make no sense especially when you consider how poorly Nickelodeon handled the release of Korra so within the constraints of what they had available they were perfect

TLOK was good imo, but it was treated horribly by Nickelodeon. It had the ingredients to be phenomenal

There is no reason why we don’t know what came of Suki. Like they REFUSE to say anything about it.

I think Atla is very character driven which is why a lot of people prefer it. Almost every major character could’ve had an ‘alone’ episode and it would probably be interesting enough on their own. Could a ‘Bolin Alone’ story say the same? Or a Mako or Aasami? I’m not saying that makes Korra bad btw I really like parts of that show but it’s naturally hard to make you fall in love with new characters when a lot of people fall in love with the characters more than until Magic. I like your video and I think I agree with a lot but I don’t know how many people would’ve liked over explaining the story. I personally found the stuff Azula does in the comics for example pretty repetitive and unremarkable. On the bright side, 7 havens is pretty neat!

eh i kinda disagree and agree. I agree in the sense that having each era be more cohesive would’ve made this timeline more cohesive. So for example of the avatar Aang movie came out before LOK or just material about his older life in general, it would have made the transition to republic city and problems with the equalists smoother. However, i don’t agree with them necessarily needing to be animated. Each animated show is a perfect self contained story and adding more to them would have soured them over time i think. i do think that the decision to make the things that came directly after ATLA and LOK comics is the correct one. Now maybe i would be down for an animated adult Gaang miniseries or an adult Krew miniseries but i dont think they needed to mess with the original shows at all. and I think its fine that they’re out of order tbh, the people who are interested will fill in the gaps

That ticked me off leaving us on that cliffhanger. "Where is my mother?" Like, bro, we wanted to see Zuko find his mom on the screen, not in the comics especially since the comics changed the characters so much post-ATLA.
