Someone did this to me. I honestly didn’t even know my question was rude to her. By the 3rd why? I just told her, “you don’t need to answer if you don’t want to. If I offended you with my question, it was not my intention.”And I changed the subject. She brought it up again and this time I excused myself and walked away. Not bec I didn’t have an argument but bec I genuinely didn’t ask to offend anybody but I wasn’t going to take her rude behavior either. But it’s funny she was trying to do this exact exercise. The question was “are you going to try again to be promoted” it was a coworker that I felt she deserved the promotion but Simone else got it. Apparently she thought I was just adding salt to the injury. I wasn’t.

I got so much out of this 🙏🏼 as a professional full-time musician and content creator people do this to me all the time because they can't gauge what I make. So it always comes with these weird questions but in the back end they're just trying to see how much they should respect me. Definitely gonna be using these tactics. Helped so much!
