£30 might not mean much to some people… but to families like mine, it’s a LOT. 💔🛒 I’m genuinely so upset about this. On Sunday, I signed up to Asda’s new customer offer. £30 off a £60 food shop, plus a month of free delivery. I don’t normally shop at Asda, but when you’re trying to stretch every penny, an offer like that is too good to ignore. I signed up properly. I received my voucher code. I was excited to be able to get £60 worth of groceries for £30. And now? Payday is here & My code won’t work. 😔 Asda has paused the promotion after discovering a significant number of orders that didn’t qualify. There are reports of people signing up with multiple accounts to claim the offer more than once. And I’m sitting here thinking… what about the families who genuinely needed that saving? The mums walking around supermarkets with calculators. The parents putting things back because they’ve gone over budget. The families trying to make one food shop stretch until payday. For us, £30 could mean extra meals, packed lunches, fruit, snacks and essentials for the children. I understand that Asda needs to investigate misuse of the offer. But it’s heartbreaking that genuine new customers who received a code are now left wondering whether they’ll ever be able to use it. I wasn’t trying to get something for nothing. I just wanted to use the offer exactly as it was advertised.
