He didn’t mention the fact that the body’s decompose to skeleton very quickly because when they lower the coffin into the ground, they actually lift off the lid and expose the corpse. Thats for quick body decomposition

What he’s saying is not the rule everywhere in Greece. It happens mostly at more densely populated areas, like Athens or Thessaloniki, mainly due to the lack of available space. 😅

In Romania you either own a grave or you rent for at least 7 years! Your bones get put at the feet of the new person taking over the grave.

This is not always the rule. Some families own space in cemeteries. In this case the box is placed in the grave and so the whole family is together.

You can actually pay for a family grave where they put every family members when they die. This grave is permanent, not like the ones you rent for 5 years. Also the bones after many years get thrown in a fire well where they burn them to ashes.
