i’ve absolutely adored euripides’ bacchae as my favourite since forever, but recently i’ve been studying ‘iphigenia’ and it’s so utterly tragic i love it!

shayo :

I’d love if you did videos on what your “required reading” lists would be. Like maybe 5-10 books from each century and why you’d recommend them? Your vids are great!

Arts Theatre Cambridge :

We are so glad you enjoyed the Cambridge Greek Play! It was a pleasure to welcome you and your mum to the theatre!

Tessa :

i like the content, although i’m also using it to practice my english ☝🏾

holmespun :

I saw this as well and was so impressed by how they handled the Greek! Also some curiously loose translations in the surtitles (e.g. ἅψομαι ‘I will touch you’ became ‘I can’t keep my hands off you’) which created a bit of a dissonance in the viewing experience and really kept me on my toes. I loved it!

Emma Imogen :

omg I was just recently in Cambridge too! The Arts Theatre put on A Man For All Seasons, about sir Thomas Moore, which I would absolutely recommend aswell 🫶🏻

sof :

Now I want to learn ancient greek

Alina🧚🏼‍♀️📚✨ :

didn’t even know what your point is but already followed after 10 seconds

Elizabeth :

You look so much alike with your mom. You both are adorable. Thank you for the video as always 🫶🏻

Lucy :

Lucía Padilla :

Este dios griego vuelve a mi parati

Mara Awakens :

ion is the play where a god does something unforgivable and the plot is then tidied up so he never has to answer for it. the audience leaves calm. the person it happened to is the only one still carrying it.

Danyette :
