Despite his injury, he is incredibly friendly and immediately leaned in for snuggles. He loves pets, enjoys being close, and isn’t shy about being a little vocal to communicate. Eupneic ABD - Comfortable, no organomegaly noted INTEG - Healthy coat, few small superficial healing abrasions M/S - Non-weight bearing RR with reduced ROM and discomfort on palpation. NEURO - Brief neuro exam unremarkable Patient was sedated with dexmedetomidine and radiographs confirmed dorso-cranial coxofemoral luxation, R side. The limb was extending and the femoral head was able to be reduced into the acetabulum using manual reduction. Carprofen given SQ did not place ehmer sling due to unable to monitor consistently Recheck in 24 hours to assess if luxation remains resolved DSH Adoption Exam Completed Altered: No Tattoo/Scar: No Rabies given in RR leg; DA2PP given SQ in RF leg; Bordetella given intranasally Flea and Heartworm Prevention given; Pyrantel given PO Blood sample pulled to perform heartworm test: Negative.
