Christmas in New York City… and it’s not even Halloween yet! 🎄⛸️ Hey everybody, Bryant Park Winter Village officially opened today, October 28, and it’s already busy! I’m here in Midtown watching everyone ice skate, and you can feel the holiday season kicking off. One of my favorite New York City traditions. This is its 25th season! The holiday market started in 2002, and the skating rink followed in 2005. 🛍️ Shopping: More than 180 festive shops selling handmade gifts, ornaments, jewelry, art, clothing, and treats from New York City makers and around the world. ⛸️ Ice skating: Admission to the 17,000 square foot rink is FREE if you bring your own skates. Rentals cost $18.72–$64.48 before tax, depending on the day and time. Reserve a skating session at BryantPark.org. ☕ Food and drinks: The Lodge has hot chocolate, food, cocktails, and a cozy view of the rink. 🎄 Christmas tree: The annual tree lighting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 1, at 5:30 p.m., with festive performances. ⛲ Fountain: Don’t miss the Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountain, dedicated in 1912.
