People it’s easy. Every line on this ruler is a 16th of an inch. 1/16, 2/16, 3/16, 4/16, and so on. It’s just that some fractions can be reduced. Like 2/16 can reduce to 1/8. 4/16 can reduce to 1/4. 8/16 reduces to 1/2. And so on.

1/16 is 1 line over from the 1”3/16 is 3 lines over from the 1” 5/16 is 5 lines over from the 1” 7/16 is 7 lines over from the 1. The 1/4, the 1/2 and 3/4 just think of measuring cups.
