As a mom, this is probably on her. She doesn't set boundaries for the kids and the husband probably gets chewed out for trying to help in a way that isn't strictly how she wants it handled. Easier to spectate at that point.

If all a man can handle is a job. He SHOULDNT have a family! Nothing wrong with a man being beat down and worn down, needing a break. But if showing up for the family you made outside of work is something you can’t do… if your topped out at work. You shouldn’t create a family. Same for the women who don’t show up at home, they think they work so they shouldn’t have to pull their part at home. My spouse and I both work, the difference is I work from home an actual 9-6 clock in clock out job AND keep my children home with me. So when he gets home from work you BEST believe he’s stepping up to help with the kids, and dinner, and chores.
