American psycho :
Colonialism have never ended; it evolved drastically. Today, domination operates through economic dependency, cultural hegemony, far more advanced propaganda, far more advanced media manipulation, far more advanced military superiority, including fourth- and fifth-generation warfare ect, more advanced technology, intelligence agencies, and global institutions. Since the mid-20th century, the global population has more than tripled, while technology has exponentially expanded surveillance and social control. Since the late 1970s, neoliberal reforms have also been criticized for reinforcing Western economic dominance and deepening global inequalities. Modern colonialism requires neither occupation nor overt aggression; it perpetuates global hierarchies and social stratification through economic and political systems. These inequalities also shape migration toward wealthier Western and Western-aligned societies, including the Gulf states, South Korea, and Japan—a world order still shaped by colonial exploitation.
