The Bible accurately records what was said, done, or believed, but not every statement or action within it represents moral or factual truth. Here is the breakdown: Truly recorded: The text faithfully documents historical events, speeches, and human behaviors—including lies, mistakes, and evil acts. Recorded truth: The specific content of those events or quotes isn't automatically a divine truth or an action to copy. Example: When the serpent speaks in Genesis, or when Satan quotes scripture to Jesus, the Bible truly records what they said. However, their words are not recorded truth—they are recorded lies. In short, it distinguishes between the Bible acting as a faithful reporter versus every recorded character speaking absolute truth.
