We have a T.V. in the breakroom that sometimes shows people getting recognition for going above and beyond and tells which location they're from. the number of times I've seen people just doing their job is astounding

god yes. I'm only a team lead but getting these assholes to do the fucking basic job they're paid to do is like a fucking hostage negotiation and the DRAMA. holy fucking shit. it's always: *can you do this project for me? "BUT I ALREADY DID (meaningleas task)." *yeah, ok sure. can you get that other thing for me tho? "BUT I DONT HAVE ANY TIME!" *yes, bebause you are obsessed with meaningless tasks that atent urgent. this other thing NEEDS to get done before management stops by "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I DO SO MUCH WORK AROUND HERE! EVERYONE ELSE SUCKS BUT ME! BLAH BLAH BLAH" *🙄 every. fucking. day.
