I wish I could make friends. Being trans, mentally ill and physically disabled makes it hard to keep friends longer than a few months. Plus I'm too awkward to start the first encounter. I'm almost 25 (March). I go to a mental health clinic that does YA as well as older adults. I'm going to age out the YA services in 2 years. it doesn't help that I spent most of this year in bed alseep because of chronic fatigue. Sorry I'm ranting. Anyway, I saw you are an artist. if you ever want someone to send your art to I got you. I'd love to see it.

Go to pride events, CT has multiple gay bars, gay cultural orgs, queer led community organizations, etc. the cities are much much more queer friendly than the towns

people suck :( ive unfortunately just had to learn to live with it, I call people out when they call me slurs and it definitely scares me to think of how they could respond, but I try to get out despite it, because thats what they want. they want you to be afraid to leave your house and we cant let them control our lives like that! they want power over us and we cant let them have it!!!!! however I understand this is much easier said than done, im sorry that this is happening to you :(

I’d see if you have a local queer exchange group on Facebook 💖 there’s a large one for western mass, and I’ve been in other ones previously when I lived in central mass, Boston, and Maine! It’s been a great source of community for me and it’s great to see your local queer hive exists more than you’ve seen around you. And if you don’t have one local to you but you’re near the MA border maybe join the WMA one anyway!
