@girlthepoet: #creatorsearchinsights #avoidantattachment Healing after a breakup with an avoidant attachment style partner is a different kind of heartbreak. 💔 Because you’re not just grieving the relationship. You’re grieving the emotional connection, the potential, the promises, and the version of them who made you believe you were finally safe to love. If you’re struggling to recover after a breakup with a dismissive avoidant or fearful avoidant ex, you need to hear this: You cannot heal from an avoidant breakup by waiting for your avoidant ex to finally understand your worth. You might be obsessively wondering: 💔 Does my avoidant ex miss me? 💔 Will my avoidant ex come back after no contact? 💔 Why did my avoidant partner suddenly pull away? 💔 Do avoidants regret breaking up? 💔 Why does my avoidant ex seem happy without me? But here’s what nobody tells you about healing from an avoidant breakup: Your recovery begins when you stop making their emotional availability the measure of your value. Their withdrawal doesn’t mean you weren’t lovable. Their difficulty with intimacy doesn’t mean you were asking for too much. And their silence after the breakup doesn’t automatically mean they never cared. Avoidant attachment may explain someone’s behavior, but it doesn’t excuse the pain their behavior caused. Healing after an avoidant relationship means breaking the cycle of anxious attachment, emotional dependency, rumination, and waiting for breadcrumbs of affection. It means learning to regulate your nervous system, rebuilding your self-worth, maintaining no contact when appropriate, and accepting that closure doesn’t always come from your ex. And perhaps the hardest lesson of all? You can love someone deeply and still recognize that the relationship wasn’t emotionally healthy for you. You don’t need your avoidant ex to regret losing you to prove that you mattered. You don’t need them to come back to validate the connection. And you don’t need to keep abandoning yourself to prove you’re worthy of being chosen. Your healing is not about getting your avoidant ex back. It’s about getting YOURSELF back. ❤️ If you’re recovering from an avoidant breakup, struggling with no contact, experiencing anxious attachment after a breakup, or trying to detach from an emotionally unavailable ex, you’re not alone. 💬 COMMENT “HEALING” if you’re finally choosing yourself over the avoidant attachment cycle. 📌 SAVE this for the days you want to break no contact. 🔁 SHARE with someone struggling to move on from an avoidant ex. #AvoidantAttachment #AvoidantBreakup #breakup

10 months and the betrayal wound still has he barely functional. I have had breakups and they didn’t do this to me cause those break ups ended the relationship with kindness and consideration. I reacted to the silent discard in a horrible way also. So the combo is self hatred at my reaction and betrayal wound has just hamstrung me

Spent time in therapy, exercising, journaling, focusing on new projects and ideas. She wrote a few weeks ago after a no-contact hiatus of 4 months. My heart stopped! Don’t know why
