She later married Brian Winchester, Mike’s best friend, and the two eventually became central figures in the investigation. In 2016, Brian Winchester was arrested for kidnapping his wife, Denise Williams. Armed with a gun, he forced her into a vehicle and drove her to a remote area in Florida in an attempt to stop her from cooperating with investigators in Mike’s murder case. After his arrest, Winchester agreed to cooperate with authorities and revealed what had really happened in 2000.
