My only recommendation is to take him to the nearest vet or shelter to get him scanned for a microchip! They'll will do it for free - I've brought cats in the the PetSmart Banfield for this before (I think there's still one in Tempe Marketplace). If nobody owns him, you may have a new cat lol. My wife is also allergic to cats, and we have 3, so do with that what you will, ha! (She copes with allergy meds, as well as having a separate bedroom that's a 99% cat free space.)
