The rising costs come as Republicans face political fallout from the unpopular conflict ahead of the Nov. 3 elections that will determine control of Congress. Trump said Iran wants to negotiate a deal but is delaying an agreement, suggesting Tehran may be waiting until after the elections. When asked whether the U.S. could conduct additional strikes against Iran following the midterms, he added, "Anything's possible."
