I'm Turkish my wife is polish. she moved to live with me in Istanbul. I missed American style cookies so much she learned to make them for me. now whenever I take them to work or give them to friends they're always so blown away by how amazing they are. American desserts, cakes, pies and all that jazz r genuinely delicious and beloved by Turkish people when they get the chance to eat them homemade

yeah and I've noticed that I didn't like a lot of the baked goods that I found there. my husband always said that he didn't like sweets because a lot of times I didn't like them there like the cake from Starbucks was awful. he comes here and he tries some of the cakes and the donuts and suddenly he eats sweets 😆 their traditional desserts like baklava are made very well but some cakes and donuts are not very good. I baked chocolate chip cookies with the Nestle toll House chocolate chips I brought from home for my husband and his friends while I was living there and they loved them.
