My Son was with me. I called my parents. Other than that, I have kept it to myself.

I went in to the ER and was admitted for four days, emergency surgery, then a 10 days stay in the hospital. I told most people through text or phone calls in that time. Nothing has been the same since.

i went for an MRI scan on my thyroid and boom there was my brain cancer. my hubby was there with me when I got my results. i started to freak out and he called my dad and told him what had happened so that my dad could try to talk to me and calm me down. from there the news just kinda spread through out my family and friends on its own from me, my hubby, and my dad.

only my husband knew at first, once we got told the size and stage we told our 11 year old son, and I told my adult kids from an ex relationship. after I had my surgery to remove things is when I made it public. started reaching out to help cover medical bills, trying to survive cancer is so expensive

Telling my kids in person was the most difficult and emotionally taxing experience I’ve ever had. I shed the most tears I’ve ever cried.
