As a hiring manager for CSMs, I received over 200 messages from people all asking to chat about the role. It was too overwhelming to even comb through. But I would probably stop and listen to a video or voice note!

I’ve thought about doing number 3 but most of the offices have security codes so you can’t actually get into the office unless you have access. So I just mailed a photo of myself and my resume to someone from the team to their office

I understand you’re trying to give helpful advice for someone to get a job in this awful job market. But at what point do we say enough to this? This just gives recruiters, hiring managers, and corporations more reason to keep their awful behavior. We should be able to send in an application and be judged on that. We shouldn’t be expected to do some of this extra work, especially going into the office just to barely be noticed.
