@professor_mearsheimer: 🌍 Would Israel benefit from a devastating war across the Gulf? Professor John Mearsheimer argues that Israel has strategic reasons to want a weaker Iran—but a regional war that destroys Gulf infrastructure could backfire. From economic chaos and damaged regional partnerships to Iranian retaliation against Israel itself, he explains why weakening Iran is not the same as benefiting from a wider regional catastrophe. #JohnMearsheimer #Israel #IranWar #MiddleEast #Geopolitics

It's in Iran's best interest to require nuclear weapons now it's probably the only way for them to stop Israel and the US from attacking them whenever they feel like it

A more radical ambition may be for "Greater Israel" to include not just Lebanon and southern Syria, but also the entire Arabian peninsula. Should the fall of Arabian governments create a vacuum, this may offer an opportunity for Israel to invade and annex a vast region.

With all respect your wrong, first for Israel esp the right wing, devastation in the gulf and damage in Israel is a small price to get rid of Iran, second it’s true that Iran has a devastating capability but it’s not as big as you may think, they have up to 5000 ballistic missiles (highest estimate) and even if 30% (which is crazy) hit targets, the devastation would be modest at best, for comparison ion Iran received over 20,000 missiles so far, and Gaza received over 100,000
